"Music and Fun" - nice pub door deco in Adare
Button accordion and guitar duo (Mike O'Brien and Sean O'Connor at The Coachman pub in Kenmare.
An Pucan - The Boat (specifically a "Galway Hooker" that Galway fishermen used for decades out of this seaside town--come on now, you know what I meant.) We ate here (at Eyre Square in Galway) a couple of times and enjoyed the meals and music. Nice folks, both those who work here and the regulars who included us in their craic.
Downtown Adare, where we stopped on the way to Killarney and Kilmare after.
North of Galway, on the bus tour to The Burren.
A brightly painted shop back in Dublin.
Ah, the famous Guinness. Everywhere!
I love this. Great pictures!
ReplyDeleteWhat no surf and turf with a bottle of Coors
ReplyDeleteThat was me, the other Mike
ReplyDeleteHello Helen and Mike,
ReplyDeleteIreland is a country that *loves* color, as you see in the pictures above. Perhaps that helps counter the many gray days and continual rain, particularly in the middle and west of the country.
Mike, there's plenty of turf hereabouts. In fact, Irish folks still burn it in their fireplaces to stay warm. As to surf, I have heard of foolhardy boarders who've tried out the rollers at the Cliffs of Moher. And Coors? I think you'd like the little Galway Hooker that we discovered in a little pub here. :^). :)
